David that all sounds great!! Perhaps we can discuss it over a cup of soup. I don't trust the emails... I don't know much about technology you know. What exactly would I do?

Hi

Given that you are a website it would be of interest from many perspectives!

David,

>Since our first message I have been very away of your communication skills.
How? My marketing and media campaigns for b.tv / lovebytes / CODE.
b.tv funding and finance? Festival programming?
Executive production of BBC / Ace commissions?
Please tell. Thankyou.

> I feel that you demonstrate a number of capacities closely resembling my own, which is why I am approaching you. My company is looking to expand, and is interested in developing its communications staff. Basically, they asked me to find someone with abilities parallel to mine.

I'm very, very flattered. Though this does read abit like a circular ( hee hee ).

>I am aware that your capacities in IT and communications in general have been underestimated,

Quite pleased with most of the feedback - actually. Still, could always do with more.

>and would like to see you in the position you deserve. I firmly believe I can offer you a job that will do justice to your talents. With us you would be able to stretch your abilities, and develop your skills. It goes without saying that this would also be attractively reflected in your financial reward. Clearly things are at an early stage. I'm testing the waters to see if you're interested - if you are, we'll take it further.

Interested in talking more about this. Must tell you though - I'm very committed to b.tv / The Culture Company, Shooting Live Artists and developments with the BBC, Channel 4 and a selection of convergence media companies.

>I feel quite certain you could join our team, and have every faith that you could do the job equally as well >as me. Please let me know if I've managed to trigger your interest in what could be, I'm sure, a fascinating career move.

Yes, happily triggered. See above.
Hope all is going well with you and all your company.
Look forward to hearing from you.

Best est; Andy.

Well, along with Prince, 80s music I like includes U2, Depeche Mode, Michael Jackson, The Smiths, New Order, Ministry, Jesus and The Mary Chain, Madonna... hell I listen to all kinds except for silly country music (tear in my beer etc) though the heavier kind of country rules AKA Johnny Cash, Charlie Daniels...

Will the real David Still please stand up, please stand up, please stand up....

I'll be in the Netherlands this April. Maybe we can meet again?

I tell you the one pivotal event of my life last year was seeing Prince at the Montreal Jazz Fest. My year was shitty until that day in July 2001, and then the rest of the year became princified, funkified.... he jammed for the first half of the show, improvising, jazzing it up and then he did retro stuff in the second half. I plan on making a pilgrimage to Minneapolis one day to Paisley Park studios. Forget Graceland... Alphabet street is where it's at.

Is that REALLY you on your website?

Beste David
