Subject: RE: Compliance

YOU ARE INCORRECT.

-----Original Message-----
From: David Still [mailto:david@davidstill.org]

Mr. Latner;
It has come to our attention that you are participating in an office pool related to an upcoming sporting event. You should know that while these pools may seem harmless, they are still considered gambling. It is strictly against UBS PaineWebber policy to gamble. (please refer to our compliance bulletin #2323 posted on our InfoNet chapter.)

We must ask you to please alert the participants in your pool that this is an illegal activity and must cease.

We will be contacting you shortly to discuss disciplinary actions.

You may perceive this is a little immature... but I do not appreciate you gunning for my girlfriend every time you go out with her. Your interest is very apparent and I am cool with you both being friends but I am sick of the shit I hear you say to her when I am not around...she is not available for your hook up propositions, we have been dating awhile now and this shit is getting old! I am sick of hearing about what you try to do when I am not out. Lay the f*** off her!

I always admire folks who "get" my hotmail nickname. We all just gotta be Tribe Called Quest Fans, one of the best hip hop outfits that ever was. And I submit that I am a huge fan of Prince. I believe he was the most important musical geniuses of the 20th century. And for a man of 5 foot 2, he has the most sublime stage presence.

And your musical preferences?

I interviewed a 'representative' of Mouchette's for my radio show.
Mouchette's website was showcased at a web art festival in Montreal called Maid in Cyberspace. She is quite an enigma- I believe I was actually interviewing Mouchette, though the person denied it. Supposedly Mouchette is some 13 year old girl who has committed suicide and then designed a website.
Only in cyberspace...
SO what is the reponse like to your website?

Mr Still,

I am not certain if you meant to send this email to me or not.

Please advise.

The transfer went without a hitch. Thanks - it was a much-needed cash injection!
Would next Wednesday be good for you? It'll be packaged as arranged. Thought we'd meet at the cafe in the main market place in Almere. You won't miss it. I'll be the one reading The New York Times. Let me know what time.
By the way, the other item you mentioned should be arriving next week.
Still interested?

Yes, I'm depressed. In part because I allowed myself to develop expectations about this relationship which may never be fulfilled because of the nature of David Still. Please explain to me about the posting system in David Still. Please help me understand what I have gotten into.

I really don't want to lose the connection I have with you. The risk I take is only in reaching out in person to someone I assumed you to be. I don't want the begins of our dialogue to be a substitute for that relationship.

If, in fact, the two of you are different people, I see no problem developing both relationships. I really cant' see any relationship I get into becoming an exclusive one just yet.

But I agree with you as far as having to take some of the risks. Well anyway, I will leave you in peace and stop this babbling of mine. Take good care, and I wish you nothing but the best.
